There’s nothing quite like nooodling with sound after a pleasant afternooon nap. That’s where I find myself after randomly selecting the Giraffe as my inspiration for the day.
When it came up, I was happy but not sure if I could do justice to my favorite spirit animal. So here is something short and sweet created with a fretless concert ukulele tuned GCEG. It includes lots of slow slides.
Can you dig it?
Since this is a fretless instrument, I did connect to a small amp to boost the volume a bit.
I have been using the wireless Lekato system lately and it’s very convenient especially when quickly setting things up in my office.
The settings for the small Roland MicroCube amp are clean since this is a quick and dirty take and I want to hear as close to the acoustic sound as possible.
Unfortunately, since I recorded the video acoustically with an old iPhone 13, the volume is still low. I don’t want to spend a lot of time recording these daily videos, but I can see where I might want to go back and refine a few. This is one of them because I am liking the sound of where this might be taking me. I will continue to work on the music once the 21 day project is over. That’s another thing noodling is good for… exploring.
Here’s the tab and video.

That’s it for now.
